    As President of Companion Arts, Ford Bowers leads the company’s creative vision and oversees its day-to-day operations, guiding projects from development through release with a focus on purpose and craft. He has produced a range of podcasts and digital series aligned with the company’s mission, helping them reach millions of viewers and listeners across platforms. He also serves as Executive Producer on the company’s films, ensuring narrative excellence and coherence across all formats. Ford brings together artistic integrity and operational clarity to create an environment where meaningful stories and the people behind them can thrive.

  • Samah Tokmachi

    Creative Director
    With a background in filmmaking, writing, and creative strategy, Samah shapes stories that bridge the personal and the collective—aiming to inspire transformation and connection. At Companion Arts, Samah oversees a slate of projects spanning film, podcasts, and social content, all grounded in Companion's core values. He brings a unique blend of artistic vision and spiritual inquiry to every endeavor, supporting Companion’s mission to move hearts and spark meaningful change through storytelling.

    Operations Manager
    Shawya joined Companion Arts as Operations Manager in September 2023, striving to bring heart, precision, and a lifelong love of storytelling to every project. With a background in both performance and production—from acting and theater to writing and stage management—she works to blend creativity with strong organizational skills to manage the logistics and execution of projects, supporting the team’s mission-driven work with empathy and integrity. Whether making up tales for her six nieces and nephews or managing timelines to bring creative ideas to life, Shawya believes in the power of stories to connect, uplift, and inspire. She feels truly grateful to contribute to a team whose values are so aligned with her own.

    Operations Associate
    As Operations Associate at Companion Arts, Ayana Douglas ensures the smooth coordination of scheduling, financial tracking, and day-to-day logistics across the company’s projects. With a background in International Marketing and experience in event planning and coordination, she brings precision, organization, and creativity to her work behind the scenes. A passionate singer-songwriter, Ayana is driven by a deep appreciation for storytelling and the arts, which informs her commitment to supporting meaningful, mission-driven content. Her ability to blend structure with heart helps create the conditions for creative work to flourish.

    Art Director/Post-Production Supervisor
    Jack has been with Companion Arts since 2023. He’s a multi-hyphenate creative, overseeing the artistic execution of all you see and hear from our company. Jack is deeply committed to our shared mission of uniting people through art, media, and direct action. His past jobs include animating and illustrating for Buzzfeed, art directing for UC San Francisco’s Young Adult and Family Center, and writing a book for Chronicle Books (Things I’d Do [But Just For You]). Jack lives in Cincinnati, OH with his wife and two children.

    Chief of Staff/Executive Producer (Soul Boom)
    Kartik is the Chief of Staff and Executive Producer at Soul Boom, where he leads the production and development of all content, including the Soul Boom Podcast. He oversees strategic planning, brand direction, social media, and copywriting to ensure alignment with Soul Boom’s mission of exploring spirituality, mental health, and human connection. With a deep passion for storytelling across media, television, and film, Kartik brings a creative and intentional lens to every project he touches. He’s also really, unbelievably dope.

    Senior Director, Partnerships
    As Partnerships Lead at Companion Arts, Farid’s role facilitates strategic partnerships and collaborations with creators to expand the reach and impact of Companions’ mission-driven content. Farid strives to build trusting relationships with external organizations, aligning goals to create mutually beneficial opportunities. This involves identifying potential partners, developing proposals, and negotiating agreements. This work ensures that Companion Arts' projects resonate with broader audiences and contribute towards constructive social impact. This role leverages communication skills and understanding of storytelling’s power to foster meaningful connections.
